Celebrating Summer with Theo Maxfield and Marte Marie Forsberg
Summer has arrived, friends and family are able to gather again. It was time to celebrate summer with the launch of our Summer Collection in collaboration with Theo Maxwell and Marte Marie Forsberg.
The Seraphina evening began from a conversation in Wiltshire with Marte Marie and myself, over coffee one winter's morning in February. We wanted to work together - how could we make it work?
Both inspired by a love of the Amalfi coast our collection for Spring Summer was already underway and being made.
Whilst Marte Marie captured a vision of the Amalfi coast through her inimitable style of photography. She has created these two extraordinary still life's printed on heavy weight rag paper - both are for sale on the Marte Marie website
Our location for the night was in the stunning surroundings of Semley in Wiltshire, where we have our brand new showroom and office.
Cocktails for Seraphina
The evening began with Theo Maxfield, mixologist and Head Bartender at The Newt in Somerset.
Theo created a delicious bespoke signature cocktail for our guests inspired by our mutual love of the Amalfi coast.
Tablescaping for Seraphina
I have long admired the talent of my friend, Rebecca Udall. She is a queen of tableware and for the last 5 weeks we have been sharing our London Pop Up.
Rebecca provided us with the perfect blue and white Murano glasses wrapped together with handwoven yellow napkin rings. I love her style and her pieces without a doubt enhanced the look of the table.
Another talented friend Jennifer Grant from Romeo and Jules provided our menus and place cards. Jennifer creates beautiful bespoke letterheads, but you may recognise her work from our beautiful tissue paper and branded stationery.
Flowers for Seraphina
When botanical sets tell stories... this is the byline for Tattie Rose, who created the breathtaking display for our evening. Sicilian lemons hung from chandeliers, sweet peas scented the room and cascaded along the table. The flowers told more than a botanical story, they enveloped the evening for everyone.
Finally...
I couldn't have pulled this all together without Emma, who is an integral part of my Seraphina team. She was invaluable in helping me organise this event, and the evening ran so smoothly thanks to her endless lists and attention to detail.
